I absolutely detest this interface and have considered just switching my browser to Google Chrome since that's the new look you are forcing upon me. I want my old browser interface. You can fool yourselves into thinking the "theme restorer" gives us back what we want, but it doesn't. That looks like a sloppy attempt to please us and looks NOTHING like what the old browser looked like. I want an option to go back to the original browser. I'm NOT happy.

You can provide feedback to Mozilla here.

The support people here are users like you, for the most part, helping less experienced users solve their issues with Firefox. Mozilla employees or developers rarely grace us with their presence.

Classic Theme Restorer wasn't created by Mozilla, it was made by a Firefox user with software programming skills who didn't like the new User Interface either.

No one is forcing you to do anything; get used to the new UI, modify it as many others have done, or switch to a different browser - choice is yours!

Wow, condescending replies. I'm sure this helps a lot of people. Being as how I am not the only one upset by this, you'd think someone would care.

You can look at the Classic Theme Restorer extension to restore some functionality that was lost with the arrival of the Australis style in Firefox 29.

  • You can check the settings of the CTR extension via its Options/Preferences button on the "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" page.
  • You can find extra toolbar buttons in the Customize palette (3-bar Firefox menu button > Customize)
