how do i get my bookmarks off of an old harddrive and transfer them to another harddrive?
the mother board died on my old desktop - but, the hard drive is still operable. I got a new desktop and a friend added the old hard drive from my old computer (that has all of my firefox bookmarks somewhere) to my new computer. I now have two hard drives on a computer - the one that came with the new computer - and my old one - so, i am now able to move all my pictures and files, etc - and even found the Internet Explorer bookmarks - but, i cannot seem to find the firefox bookmarks. I look under Program Files - and I see Mozilla Firefox there - but, do not see the bookmarks. I searched for it - tried the answers that the mozilla website says to do - but, I cannot find them. can anyone help?? thanks

Bookmarks aren't stored in the Program Files folder but rather in their own "hidden" Profile Folder. This link will show you where Firefox holds all of your information and what files to transfer over
To get to your Profile Folder, while in Firefox, click the new menu button on the far right side of the Navigational Toolbar, click Help then click Troubleshooting Information. Under the Applications Basic section, click Show Folder. The window that opens will be your Profile folder.
Seeing as you want your Bookmarks, you should grab places.sqlite then put them into the Profile Folder in your new hard drive with Firefox closed
