Around 2:20 pm EST today I was listening to a youtube video in one tab, and reading a New York Daily News article in another tab. My youtube crashed in the one tab, and then I no longer could insert my browser into the address bar of the other tab where I was reading the Daily News. I refreshed the youtube tab which re-started my video from the beginning but in the other tab even when I backpaged I could not insert my browser into the address bar. I then just closed out the latter tab, and was able to use my browser in the address bar when I opened a new tab. Why could I not insert my browser in the address bar, and did the flash player crash on the youtube tab impact the ability to insert browser in the address bar of the Daily News tab? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

Do you mean that you could set focus to the location/address bar and type or access its content in that tab after the YouTube tab had crashed. Such an issue could be caused by an extension or other add-on that blocked access. Did you try other means like the Ctrl+L or Alt+D shortcut to set focus to the location bar?
