I have played Candy Crush for the past two years. A month ago when I loaded the game and played, the entire site froze up when I hit 'play again'.

I have to reload and sit through the log-in and ads to play again. I have contacted King co. about this and they gave me a few hints like having no other programs active, reloading their site, etc. and nothing has helped. They told me it must be a provider block of some sort; perhaps a problem with the cookie in relation to web security. Has anyone else contacted you about this and is there a solution? I am less likely to play this very enjoyable game due to this constant reload issue; it sucks the fun out of it. Thanks for any suggestions you can give me. Don Streeter I can also be reached at xxx-xxx-xxxx (email removed - c)

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
