Recently I deleted some garbage history which I didn't wanted. I can give some examples: "Error 404" page , some ad page. I deleted them from the "history" option of Firefox. But it caused a huge problem for me. With those unwanted pages All my work page got deleted and I really need those history back. Now I can I recover those history?

hello Pratyya, in firefox itself there are no precautions that would allow to undo the clearing of history. if you don't have a backup of your profile folder from another source i'm afraid you'll be out of luck...

You could possibly check the disk cache to see if you can find references to those lost pages. You can inspect the disk cache via the about:cache page. You can open about: pages via the location/address bar like you open a web page.

cor-el what do you mean by about: pages via the location/address bar like you open a web page. isn't clear to me. If you give me an example it'll be helpful for me. And exactly what those addons do? Thanks.

You can type about:cache in the location/address bar where you type the address of a website that you want to visit.

philipp I have found my valuable histories in Library. The highlighted part has some of my histories and the January and December 2014 section has all my wanted histories. Can you please tell me how I can restore them??

If you see that history in the History Manager then why would you want to restore this history as it appears to be still there and not deleted because otherwise it wouldn't be there?

Note that you can copy history items to a bookmarks folder if you want to have a way to keep this history more reliably.

Well It's better have something than nothing. I have no problem with those unwanted links. But it's real difficult to type the link in address bar everytime when you want to visit a site. So is there any way I can reuse those?

If you have websites that you have visited in the history then you can do a search in the history sidebar or the History Manager (Library) and access those sites that way. It is possible to use a copy and paste in the Library to copy history items to a bookmarks folder.
