Typing input stops working for no apparent reason in Beta 37

I am finding that typing input just suddenly stops working in any window on Firefox. Restarting it gets it all working fine again but then at some point, especially if I have put my iMac to sleep it will stop working again after a short while. I've even gone back to 36 from the Beta program because it was such a pain.

For some time now, a lot of Mac’s with Microsoft programs have been crashing. Check with Microsoft / Mac support sites.

Hi and thanks for your reply. This problem only started with Firefox 37, maybe later builds for 36, I don't recall exactly but only for the last couple of weeks. I have had the same programs on my iMac for many years and never had a problem before though I have been on the Beta program for several years. I don't have any Microsoft programs running.
