Why does my .doc file convert to .lnk whe I try to attach to an e-mail thus preventing the document being sent, why?
I create a windows file and save it as xxxx.doc. When I try to send it to a friend by attaching it to an e-mail I get a message of prohibited to send (may not be exact words) and the file is reduced to 2k with a suffix .lnk. Also happens in Google I think.

Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.
