Does a master password apply to all machines at once?

more options

I use Firefox 37 under windows 8.1 on a private machine and don't want a master password. I am thinking of syncing with an Android mobile phone on which I would defintely want a master password. Would using a master password on the phone cause the PC to lock down when synced?
