why do my messages pop up anywhere in my inbox
When I get a new message it can be posted anywhere in the inbox in between the old messages and there is very little space to open the message

What column are you sorting on? Sort by date if you want them in order of receipt. Click on the header labeled DATE to sort on that column. Click DATE a second time if you want to reverse the sort.
I am not sure what your last statement means about little space. Can you explain that one?
