New Thunderbird Update - Calander and Tasks Gone
I just downloaded the latest version of Thunderbird and my tasks and calendar with all my appointments are gone. How do I retrieve this?

Lightning has not been updated in your case. You'll need Lightning 4.0.0.1 for Thunderbird 38. Open the Add-on Manager.
Menu button ≡ - Add-ons - Extensions
Choose 'Check for Updates' from the top-right drop-down menu (next to the search field). This should pick up and download Lightning 4.0.0.1. Restart Thunderbird when told so.

Thunderbird has got nothing to do with your iPhone. If you want to sync calendar events you'll need to set up a network calendar, e.g. like Google Calendar. Both, Thunderbird and your phone can then sync via the network calendar.
