FREEZING, NEED A THAW!!

Hello and Help!

A week ago I wrote that Tbird freezes when I compose email, repeatedly and often, sometimes taking a minute to "recover" if I don't close the program. A PARTIAL solution was arrived at: blocking security software (AVAST Premium) from checking email. I made the change in the AVAST settings, and seemed to get relief from the problem.

But with more time on the app, I find that I still have the freezing, only it isn't quite as often and sometimes the program recovers faster.

(Note: I usually do not close Tbird when this happens, for fear that parts of my message may not have been saved to Drafts. I wait. When I have occasionally closed Tbird and immediately re-opened it anew, the app opens okay but soon freezes.)

Obviously, there is an additional problem, and I need your thoughts about what that could be. I do not want to abandon Tbird if I can avoid it.

Hmm three hours ago I told you to contact Avast and get their assistance. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1075469#answer-764951 Have you contacted avast. I am truly sorry but we can not fix avast for you.
