With Thunderbird e mails, I can only view my SENT box; can't get into INBOX

Answers to gmail address so I can read them but the problem is on my waitrose.com account.

there's a flash of a moment when I can see the Inbox behind what's on the screen but it disappears and I can't get into it - or into DRAFTS OR DELETE. I've tried restarting the computer.
