Hi. I upgraded to Windows 10 a couple of weeks ago, and have had no problems running FF.

I got (my first?) scheduled upgrade of Windows this morning. Since then FF won't start at all. The task is running in Task manager, but no FF.

It WILL start when 'Run as administrator' is selected (with the accompanying 'are you sure you want to do this?' message), which enabled me to upgrade from FF 39.0.3 to 40.0, but that has made no difference whatsoever, even after various reboots and checking all the privileges are correct.

I'd obviously prefer not to have to mess around with right clicks and 'run as administrator' every time I want to browse.

Now solved. Proved to be Endpoint Trusteer Rapport - a security program for the browser that my online banking nagged to be installed.

removed via control panel and now Firefox works fine.

Thanks for the follow-up. I'll mark the above as solving it.
