I am getting messages from different programs saying my firefox version 26.0 ver 1.23is out of date and i will not soon be able to use it to access their program. I am on automatic updates. I have tried to manually update and it will not start the download. When I ask firefox to check for updates, I get messages that it os checking but it never finishes.it j

Please go to www.getfirefox.com and download the newest version of Firefox. Install it (it will save all your current data)

My computer will not download it manually either

No error, just a message stating searching for updates, It never stops

I don't mean try using the internal updater, go to the website and download the Firefox installer. How to install Firefox on Windows

I have tried that many times, It gives me a file that it is to be downloaded to but never starts the download.

After you do, click "Save File". After it downloads, close Firefox, find the downloaded File, and run it.

You have windows, so you have internet explorer. Use that to download Firefox.

Here is what I did to fix it. I reset my Firefox to the default download. As soon as I did that it downloaded the new issue and is working fine. My IE9 is hosed up somehow and does not work.

Firefox however is good to go!
