thunderbird hasn't recognized emails from one of my accounts for the last 5 days.

I have 4 email accounts that thunderbird downloads from. 3 of these accounts are working more or less fine, but my main personal email has not downloaded anything in the last 5 days. When I ask it to check email, it does its thing, and returns with no messages, but people are sending email to this account!
