How can I disable "Firefox automatically sends some data to Mozilla so we can improve your experience" on first run
Hi,
Im deploying firefox 38 ESR and all is fine except for the information bar that comes up on first run - "Firefox automatically sends some data to Mozilla so we can improve your experience"
I have a mozilla.cfg file that I'm using for my preferences, but cannot find what I need to enter to get rid of this bar - can anyone point me in the right direction?
Cheers

Hi, You can turn off it by : Menu (Right on top)>Option >Advanced> under this "Data Choices"> Uncheck both Check boxes "Enable Firefox Health Report" as well as "Share additional Data " . Read out : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/advanced-settings-browsing-network-updates-encryption?esab=a&s=telemetry and Type about:telemetry in the Location/URL bar for a summary of the data .
Mike Kaply has a series of articles on configuration for deployment. You could search on his blog for suggestions and tools.
Actually, I think it's this one:
datareporting.policy.dataSubmissionPolicyBypassNotification
Hi Guys, thanks for the quick responses -
jscher2000, i checked that preference, it was set to false, added a line and set it to true but unfortunately the warning bar with the "choose what i share button" still comes up on first run
I knows its a small thing but I really don't want it going out to everyone if possible.
Chandan_Baba - its the warning bar i'm trying to get rid of on first run
I appreciate the assistance - if you have any other suggestions I'm all ears (or eyes in this case)
