I type in an email address and it gives me a server not found error. It further tells me that this website does not supply identity information. How do i change my setting to allow me to access this site.

Hi, I understand that you would like to allow an unencrypted site to be displayed in Firefox. I am happy to help.

If its not highly important to not have encryption, sometimes sites have an https as well as http url. More information about how to find out about the identity of the site you are visiting: How do I tell if my connection to a website is secure?

However, if you are simply entering an email address into the url bar, this will not work. If you would like to send an email to a user please sign into the email provider's address first.

You can only type a valid URL in the location/address bar to open this URL in a Firefox tab.

To manage your emails you need to start your e-mail program or go to the website in case you use an internet based email service. Firefox is an internet browser and not an email client.
