When I try to open Firefox, the following message appears:

"Firefox had a problem and crashed. Unfortunately, the crash reporter is unable to submit a crash report. Details: the application did not leave a crash dump file."

I have tried to uninstall/reinstall Mozilla Firefox three times, and the same message appears. What is my next option?

Hello there,

Clearing your browsers cookies and cache can help remove excess data that could be causing Firefox to crash.

You can try and clear the cache/cookies by doing the following:

1. Click the menu button and choose “History” 2. Then click “Clear Recent History” 3. Clear everything and tick all the boxes before clicking on “Clear Now”

Finally, relaunch your browser and see if the issue still persists.

Hope this helps!

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

While still in Safe Mode,

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it and select Submit.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

Try to start Firefox with the about:blank page by creating a copy of the current Firefox desktop shortcut. Add a space and -url "about:blank" to the target field in the Properties.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that has effect.
