Whenever I try to play a video on ghe android firefox browser, it attempts to use my default mobile browser, however I want to use the MX Player app. Thanks

The always open with an app setting is a Android setting. You want to "clear defaults" for the app you selected. The steps are very similar to the link below. Except instead of clearing the defaults for the browser you will be clearing the default of the Media player you selected.
