Been using Firefox as main browser for years, a couple of updates have come through in the last 2 weeks and now I can no longer upload files to the likes of Facebook, Outlook e-mails & photobox. The same problem is replicated in Chrome but everything is working fine in IE (which I haven't used for years).

I can still upload files which are a few KB in size, but anything approaching 1 MB or above just stalls and fails.

Last time I managed to upload larger files (i.e. 1.3MB) successfully using Firefox was 16/12

Using Firefox 43.0.2, Chrome 47.0.2526.106 m and IE 11 for Windows 7

Operating System is Windows 7 Home Premium with Service Pack 1

Adobe Flash is up to date and I've tried clearing the cache, resetting firefox and running in safe mode - no joy.

Update - have found that the same issue is affecting Microsoft Edge running on a tablet with Windows 10. On the same tablet IE again is able to carry out the upload no problem. Browser / website incompatibility issues? This is getting to be very frustrating!

What security software do you have?

It is possible that security (Anti-Virus, firewall) is causing problems. Try to disable security software temporarily to see if that makes a difference.
