Suddently, Adding number on tabular form not working ?
I have a weird situation. I have a web-form application to enter data for third party. It was working OK for a long time. Suddenly totaling of cells stop working. I am attaching a screen shot. I tried the suggestions in support forum. No luck. If I use different browser (eg Chrome). It is working without any issue.
I did clear cookies, history etc. It did not help. Why is it happening like this?
Thanks for helping.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.
- Clear the Cache and
- Remove Cookies
Warning ! ! This will log you out of sites you're logged in to.
Type about:preferences<Enter> in the address bar.
- Cookies; Select Privacy. Under History, select Firefox will Use Custom Settings. Press the button on the right side called Show Cookies. Use the search bar to look for the site. Note; There may be more than one entry. Remove All of them.
- Cache; Select Advanced > Network. Across from Cached Web Content, Press Clear Now.
If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode;
Type about:preferences#advanced<Enter> in the address bar.
Under Advanced, Select General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.
Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?
Then restart.
I tried your suggestions/steps. The issue still remains.
What is the cause? Is it from firefox update?
Thanks for helping.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
I've called the big guys to help you. Good luck.
I'm assuming there is a script in the page that does the addition in real time. In other words, you do not have to submit the page to the server to get the total. Something in your Firefox (setting, add-on) might be blocking the script from either loading or from running, or a change in Firefox might have broken the script.
Is it possible for a volunteer to get "hands on" with the application, or is there a demo of it online anywhere?
If not, we could suggest how to investigate failure of some page components to load, and/or where script errors are reported, but you might use a different browser for the time being until you have free time to investigate.
Thanks for looking into my issue. I tried

It worked, but alignment of cells are messed up in display. I am attaching a screen shot.
I have Webmail Ad Blocker 4.26 (Disabled). It worked without any issues 3 weeks ago. Why is causing this issue now?
How do I block adds in Firefox now?
I tried with other browser (Chrome). No issue there.
I hope this helps.
Thanks for helping.
You can open the Web Console (Firefox menu button or Tools > Web Developer) to check for JavaScript error messages and what CSS rules are applied.

Are you sure this is the cause? Can it be disabled on that site?
Adblock Plus {web link} Blocks annoying video ads on YouTube, Facebook ads, banners and much more. Adblock Plus blocks all annoying ads, and supports websites by not blocking unobtrusive ads by default (configurable).
Adblock Plus Pop-up Addon {web link} Adblock Plus Pop-up Addon extends the blocking functionality of Adblock Plus to those annoying pop-up windows that open on mouse clicks and other user actions.
Forum; Adblock Plus Homepage {web link}
I have the same issue again. I tried start in safemode. Installed Adblock Plus (from your link). The problem remain.
I did developer==> Web console. I find the following:
The CSS TAB & Java Script TAB results are in PDF file. I am not able to attach this file here. I am not sure why?
Is it possible to attach word/pdf files.
Let me know, what is going on.
Thanks for helping.
Is the file text only? And not huge?
Open a text / word program and load the file. Left click once. Now <Control> A to highlight everything, then <Control> C to copy it.
Next have your browser go to; https://pastebin.mozilla.org. Paste <Control> P the content of the file in the window. Note: On the bottom, choose to save the file 30 days.
Now press Save. The page will reload. Copy the new web address, and post it here.
Thanks . I did not find SAVE button/option there, but there was a SEND button. I used that.
Here is the link: https://pastebin.mozilla.org/8855447
Update 12/31/2015.
I did notice, that submit data is also not working under this situation. It looks like, it is not performing any actions in web forms use to collect data. It is working as desired on other browsers (eg Chrome).
I am not sure, why !
Thanks for helping.

Well done. Hopefully someone will see the problem. It's above me.

I am glad to do that, but the application's secured nature is not allowing me to do so. If you suggest some steps, I will follow the steps & post the results as I did earlier.
I hope you understand.
Thanks for looking into this issue.
Update 1/2/2016
As per your suggestion I updated the firefox to 43.0.1. The reported issue remain after update. Any Idea why?

Hi, you are using a very old version of Firefox, which can compromise your security and may cause other problems. To update it to v43, open the 3-bar menu > Help (question mark at bottom right) > About Firefox. Alternatively, you can press the Alt key to bring up the main menu bar > Help > About Firefox. More - Update Firefox to the latest release.
I am able to find similar situation on public site.
http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/calories/209434828
By changing the measures in drop down box, it is not re-calculating the Nutrition Facts.
I hope this helps your team to figure out the issues.
Will it help?
Hi RIMD, thank you for that URL. Did you find a similar pattern to the site you use, that Fitness Pal works in Safe Mode but not in regular mode? Or does it fail in both?
Thanks for looking into my issue. I hope this issue driving us crazy. I find the same for the site I use and fitness Pal. It is not doing desired computation in normal mode or safe mode.
I noticed another issue with firefox. I am not able to view our presidential debate video as well, but I am able view it in google chrome. I am not sure, this issue related to my compute issue.
Thanks for sharing.
When I try Fitness Pal in Google Chrome, changing the quantity doesn't do anything there, either, so I'm not sure this site works in modern browsers. If you are looking for this kind of data, I suggest NutritionData, for example:
http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/nut-and-seed-products/3087/2
You don't need to enable Flash on the site if you don't want the fancier widget, but you still need to scroll down to the nutrient content table either way, so that's a little less convenient.

That probably is a different issue, either related to HTML5 video decoding or one of the common video plugins (Flash, QuickTime, Silverlight). You may want to start a new question for that.
