Intermitently, my bookmarks & bookmark folders in the library don't select (turn blue).
Macbook late 2008 OS X 10.8.5 Firefox 43.0.4
The selected bookmark remains selected and I can't go to another folder and select it. They freeze, making hierarching difficult.
I have a lot of bookmarks and folders, and I keep history around for quite a while.

Places Maintenance {web link} Allows to run Maintenance tasks on the database that drives Places, the bookmarks and history module behind Firefox.
Open the Add-ons Manager. Locate the add-on and press the Options button. Then follow the directions.
