Hello Team

I accidentally blocked this plugin installation in Firefox, which is provided by my company. So after it's installation, the employee doesn't need to do repeated authorization via OTPs, to access any company website. To be specific I clicked on "Never", instead of "Allow and remember" in that plugin installation confirmation popup.

- symantec-auth-client-plugin-win-x86_64.exe

I've done everything I found on google. Like reinstalling the browser, deleting profile data from my machine etc. But I never see that plugin installation confirmation popup again which says "Never" and "Allow and remember". Just because of this, I'm forced to use IE (in which the plugin is installed) and I do not need to do OTPs authentication.

Please please someone help.

Is there a way to remove the plugin and reinstall it? In order to remove an extension:

  1. Go to the addons button from the hamburger menu
  2. Click on the extensions tab and toggle any listed add ons.

Guigs, I tried that, but that is blank, means there is no plugin/extension installed for that matter in Firefox on my machine.

Re-install Norton.

FredMcD,

Do you mean to say that,

when this plugin is installed in different browsers, it adds some configuration in the user machine (may be in symantec/norton configs)

for remembering the particular browser as an authenticated device.

And reinstalling it will simply reset those configurations, and in Firefox I'll get the confirm install pop up again for this plugin?

I'm asking this since Symantec AntiVir is provided by the company, and touching that would require approval.

Sometimes a file is corrupted. Re-installing the program can fix that.
