How to put a password in order that nobody send e-mails from my e-mail account if other users have access to my computer?
How to put a password in order that nobody send e-mails from my e-mail account. Other users have access to my computer and I do not give them access to send e-mails using my e-mail account.
Thanks

- Tools / options / security /passwords and use a master password
- Or set up a separate window-user then they can access T-bird with their accounts.
- Or delete password for your smtp-account, you have to enter it manually every time.
I have tried the master password. If I click cancel to the window which appears in order to type the password, I still can send the e-mails without the password. The button ”write” is still active and I can send e-mails.
I do not have different accounts for the users on my computer and I do not want to use different accounts (solution 2).
How do I delete password for my smtp account? Although this is a temporary situation for me. I do not want every time to introduce a password when I send an e-mail. It is just for a month.
Have you tried sending them? Yes, you can "write", but the smtp server won't take them without a password (so long as it is configured to demand a password - that's up to your ISP or email provider and outwith your control). The usual objection to the Master Password is that it doesn't prevent access to stored messages. However, unless you close Thunderbird, or use an add-on that lets you "lock" an account it will sit there ready and waiting for the next user. You would need to close it to be secure.
Separate Windows user accounts is the only sure-fire way to do this. Your choice. And even that may not completely lock you down if your ISP is old-fashioned and uses your internet login to authenticate your email usage.
Or just use webmail and take care to log out.

Thanks
I have used ProfilePassword as an extension to Thunderbird. In this way they cannot open Thunderbird and cannot have access to application.
