Message I get is labeled "Content Encoding Error". I get this error frequently (in last 3-4 weeks only) when I do a Google search and click on a link. These are common sites I have been able to view in the past.

Attached is screen shot of message that I get.

You can check the network.http.accept-encoding pref on the about:config page.

You can reset user set (bold) pref(s) on the about:config page via the right-click context menu to the default value.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

  • Do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
