In your account settings for the news account - Server Settings check 'Always request authentication ...'.

In your account settings for the news account - Server Settings check 'Always request authentication ...'.
Thanks Working now! I also had to set 'connection security' to 'none'. I started out that way and must have changed it trying to get something else to work.
