Firefox does not ask me to sign in until I have been using it for some time.

Firefox does not ask me to sign in when I first open it. I could be using it for up to half an hour before I am asked for a password. Password manager is obviously working as it lets me log in to secure sites such as online banking. This means that anyone could go into Firefox and access my bank account. This is a scary lapse of security.

No password is required to use Firefox. The Password Manager does have a Master Password option where the user needs a password to unlock the manager to access the passwords.
