When "Edit as new Message" The From Name is the name of the sender and I can't change to "My email address

When I receive an email and need to sent it on without showing the senders details I use the "Edit as new message" Somehow something has changed.- When I Edit as new message now, the senders details are now in the From field whereas in the this field is normally my details If I delete the From entry an input my details I cant do it. On sure if my problem started with a resent update for Mozilla? Help

This would be the default solution, but the reported issue is likely about a regression, fixed by bug 1254666 as of Thunderbird 45.3.0.

Selecting another "From" using the drop-down worked in the past (no exact version) but it no longer works with 45.1.1. Something is broken here. No better result with all Add-ons disabled.

Tried to dig deeper into this issue. Selecting another "From" using the drop-down is still possible for messages that were originally sent from myself. However, this worked for messages from other senders, too. And it should. I used this feature using any message as kind of a template when writing a new one. This current limitation is a bug.
