My search quieries still provide suggestions based on my history after deleting and setting everything to not remember, why?

As above, I made all the settings I could find to stop remembering my history and deleted everything, whether it be search or where I visited, but my search inquiries still bring up suggestions based on my history. Why is this happening, and what can I do about it? I realize it may be the search engine, not actually FF that's keeping the history, but I don't see how to get into the settings of the search engine (I'm using the Yahoo). Any suggestions?

Type about:preferences#privacy<enter> in the address bar.

The button next to History, select Use Custom Settings.

At the bottom of the page, turn on Clear History When Firefox Closes. At the far right, press the Settings button.

That did it, thank you. I just couldn't imagine why simply the choice of "never remember history" wouldn't do the trick so I didn't look further into "custom settings", and wasted my time looking everywhere else and scratching my head. Thanks again.
