On a swiss bank site the password for the login gets trashed, although it looks OK when you wave the cursor over it - this does not happen with Explorer.
The site is BANKCOOP.CH login page and it has trashed my login 4 times. I typed in the password, checked it by waving the mouse over it and hit transmit. What finally arrived at the website, I have no idea, but it was NOT my password, and after 3 attempts, I was locked out. The password is 8 characters, with upper, lower and numbers - no funny characters. I am not using a Master Password, but do have Remember Logins turned on. The same site works fine with Edge and Explorer. I am on the latest Firefox on a windows 10 HP laptop. I have 2 of these laptops, and it fails on both. There sometimes seems to be a similar problem with the password on the Mastercard verification screen during a web purchase. I am not very popular with the support group at the bank!

It is possible that the copy of the saved password on Firefox is incorrect or was damaged. If this is the case, then Firefox may be autofilling an incorrect password into the login screen.
Please try manually typing your password into the login screen on that website.
I did that - it did not help. Did a cut-and-paste of one that I typed into Word, just to be sure that I got it right - that did not help either. On one occasion I could see that as I typed, it was corrupting my input - most odd!
