Hi,

I took the diagnostic test (http://www.tokbox.com/tools/connectivity/) on Chrome and Firefox 47.0. All four ticks in case of Chrome but only 3 ticks in Firefox (3rd Test failed. Error was "Please contact your administrator to grant access to ports 3478 and 443").

I have attached the screenshots of the results of this diagnostic test on both the browsers. Could you tell me why the difference, if the network is same for both the browsers?

Mine passes using Firefox 48 on Windows 7...

Could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? In Safe Mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.

You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

and OK the restart.

A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

Any difference?

No difference. Still having the same problem even in Safe Mode.

Do you connect through a proxy, or could that vary among your browsers? Otherwise, I don't know why your Firefox would block this and mine wouldn't.

You could check your Firefox connection settings here:

Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options

In the left column, click Advanced. On the right side, click the "Network" mini-tab and then the "Settings" button.

You could try "No proxy" to see whether that makes a difference.

Yes. I connect through a proxy.

I stay in a institute-hostel and I have to connect through proxy for accessing internet.

But, the proxy configuration is exact same in Chrome and Firefox. So, proxy should not be a problem, I guess.

Sorry, I don't have any idea what's going on there.
