How to disable email pop-up list?
How do I disable the email pop-up that never has anything relevant? I'm usually reading something when it pops up, blocks part of the screen and the ability to scroll, forcing me to hit the close button or let it time out. As a minimum, I would like to adjust how long it is visible. Thanks

At the top right of the Thunderbird window, click the menu button 
> Options > General.
When new messages arrive - uncheck 'Show an alert'
