how do i allow Kaspersky to protect fire fox?
when i installed Kaspersky it wanted to protect fire fox i should have let it yesterday i was browsing on fire fox when i was
infected by a Trojan and a very nasty one. I would like Kaspersky to protect my fire fox browser just like it does for internet
explorer 11. I have Malwarebytes installed on my computer and it found and removed the Trojan, i use the free version so it will

I recommend that you contact Kaspersky for help and support with their software.
They should be able to help you set it up so that Firefox is protected.
Hi Greg, even if you do not do anything special, Kaspersky should be constantly monitoring your computer for any downloads and checking them before you run or open them. That "real time" protection is the core feature of all antivirus software.
However, some malware can install without a file being saved, so those are very dangerous. Be on the alert for a fake Firefox patch/update pushed from a bright orange page with the Firefox logo on it. That installs a Registry-based infection in a way which completely bypasses standard real-time protection.
To check whether Kaspersky's add-on(s) for Firefox are helpful to you, try activating it/them on the Add-ons page. Either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then on the right side, the enabled extensions are listed first, followed by the disabled extensions. If you find Kaspersky Protection is disabled, try clicking the Enable button. Are there others?
Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
I'm not sure exactly what their extension(s) do, but I think it may add some kind of isolation to your browsing on sensitive sites. Let us know whether you think it's useful.
