How can I see blocked e-mail messages in order to find missing e-mails?

I am trying to get a response from Staples by sending an e-mail from Thunderbird with a pdf attachment to Staples@printme.com. They assure me that an automatic response will be sent me immediately with a code number to use in their store to print my file. I did this twice following their directions explicitly. I never got a response.

When I went to their store and print center, they said often people complain about their messages not showing up and that they are found in their Junk Mail folder. I looked through all my menu items in Thunderbird but don't see a junk mail folder. I do get Junk status symbols on some incoming mail, but those messages are always arriving in my inbox along with all the other messages.

Is there some other place than my inbox to look for potential junk mail that has been intercepted?

You are probably using a POP account. Tools -> account settings -> yahoo -> server settings will have "Server Type: POP Mail Server" near the top of the right pane if you are using a POP account. Another way to tell is that IMAP accounts don't have a "Fetch headers only" checkbox in the server settings.

One possibility is that Yahoo detected the message was spam and stored it in a junk/spam folder in webmail. Thunderbird would never see that folder if you are using a POP account. However, I believe its possible to tell Yahoo to automatically include the contents of that spam folder in the inbox, when Thunderbird checks for new mail.

I suggest you log into Yahoo webmail using a browser and look in the Bulk Mail and/or Spam folder for that message.

https://help.yahoo.com/kb/sln5993.html looks old but Step 1 describes a "Don't download spam email" checkbox for "Yahoo account -> Access your Yahoo Mail elsewhere -> POP" that you can access from the webmail settings. Its probably checked.

What is your account type - POP or IMAP?

I checked under Tools, in Account Settings, and did not see either type, POP, or IMAP listed separately. But I did see the server information listed as: "pop.att.yahoo.com" so would this be a POP type account?

While under Account Settings, I checked Junk Settings. The box for moving files under Destination and Retention was not checked.
