The previous employee left the workplace, and so we deleted her email account off the computer, however now when I try to send emails from my own email it asks me to log into her account, and when we enter her password is doesnt work as we have deleted her account from mozilla all together. I get an error message each time.

被選擇的解決方法

You need to remove her SMTP server information, and make your SMTP server information the default.

1. Press the Alt key or F10 key on your keyboard to show the Thunderbird menu.

2. Thunderbird menu: Tools: Account Settings

3. On the bottom of the left side, select "Outgoing Server (SMTP)". You should now see the same type of window as I show in my screenshot below.

4. The item to delete is probably the one on the top that is in bold and labeled (Default). For safety reasons, you cannot remove this until you set another entry as Default.

5. So determine which item is yours, set it as default, then delete the item for the other person.

I've deleted an email account from email provider and deleted the account from thunderbird but thunderbird is asking for a password from the deleted account so I can't send any email. Would appreciate some insight into how to correct this, thank you!

@misenste If following the instructions in the solution here doesn't resolve your issue, then your issue is different, and you need to your own support question.
