I am a user of OpenSUSE and yesterday I downloaded Thunderbird (version 45.6.0). Thunderbird started to sync everything I had in the mail server (I used to use the web interface). Everything works fine except when it tries to sync with the calendar. As soon as I click on the Calendar folder, the blue loading bar gets full and then Thunderbird hangs and I can't do anything. From time to time, it tries automatically to download the calendar events and I can see that the Calendar warns that there is something that must be read but after some seconds it hangs the whole Thunderbird.

Can somebody help here please?

After unsubscribing from the Calendar folder and subscribing again to it, things are working and Thunderbird is able to sync without hanging. Not sure why but it looks like it is working. I'll wait a bit more to confirm that it was solved

calendar folder? is this appearing in the list of folder on the left? If so I suggest you unsubscribe from it, it is very unlikely to contain email. Right click select subscribe to modify subscriptions

If I do that, I don't get any meeting requests :(

Are you filtering meeting requests on the server so you have mail in That folder?

I would expect meeting request to arrive with all mail in the inbox and be added to the calendar. But if it is working, all is good.

I am not filtering anything but in my server they also arrive to that folder. It is working so I mark it as working. Thanks for your help
