Moving stored email from Thunderbird on XP to new computer windows 10 with Thunderbird.

Is there any really simple process? I moved the stored email from Outlook Express to Thunderbird on the old XP machine. Now I have to get to the new Windows 10 machine. I already got my address book to the new machine. Most of the directions have my head spinning.

I'd just copy the entire profile. If you pick it apart into separate components then you need to learn how to re-assemble it.

Use Help|Troubleshooting Information in Thunderbird on the old machine to locate the profile. Go up one or two levels to get to the folder named thunderbird. Close Thunderbird and copy the thunderbird folder to your USB stick.

Install Thunderbird on the new machine. Add one account just to be sure it creates a new profile. Use Help|Troubleshooting Information to locate the new profile. Close Thunderbird. Go up one or two levels to get to the folder named thunderbird, and overwrite it with the folder on your USB stick.
