New Gmail Sign-in, unable to NOT stay signed in; no Java in FF
So Gmail has a new sign-in page and Google has done away with being able to UNCHECK stay signed in. In Chrome settings, I can go to JavaScript exceptions and "block" https://accounts.google.com.
This takes me back to the "old" sign in so I can UNCHECK "Stay signed in". Perfect work-around.
I want to replicate this in FF. However, I have nothing called "Java" in Add-ons. In fact, researching this, I discovered that FF dropped Java plugin support with v. 52.0
So, what settings in FF can I change so that when I sign out of Gmail, Firefox/Gmail won't "remember" me and I get the same result as using Chrome blocking https://accounts.google.com
I prefer Firefox as my browser!!
thank you in advance. :o)
thanks.

Install Older Version Of Firefox {web link} Be sure to read everything here.
If you still want to downgrade, look under; I still want to downgrade. Click the Directory of other versions and languages link. Look for the directory of the version that you want. But, remember that old versions may have security issues.

Hi Fred - thanks for the suggestion. I would prefer not to use an older version of FF, to be honest, unless there are absolutely no other alternatives.
Is there any way to suppress cookies for just one site? in this case it would be Gmail.
Hi romiha !
In Firefox JavaScript is enabled by default.
In order to stop Firefox from remembering form entries you need to go to :
3-bar menu => Privacy
Under 'History' select : 'Firefox will : Use custom settings for history'
and uncheck the box for 'Remember search and form history'.

This could cause issues with that site.
