Since the latest firefox update I can no longer clear individual items from the Search bar history. And it is not just on the search bar on my home page but other web sites too, like ebay in their search bar, I can't delete individual items I have typed. Before the latest update I could clear individual items from the Search bar history by clicking on the Search bar input field, then pressing the ↓ and ↑ keys to scroll the list of items, and then deleting the highlighted item by pressing Delete. It no longer works now with since the latest update.

There is a difference between the hover color and the select color and if you see the hover color then the delete key won't work.

What color do you see in your case?

Hovering with the mouse and pressing delete no longer seems to work in a drop-down list, but I think that using the cursor keys (up an down) should still highlight the selected entry and pressing the Delete key should delete this entry.

Thanks. That worked.

You're welcome.

Can you clarify what exactly works for you?

Using the up and down cursor keys is what worked. Before the latest firefox update I could hover with the mouse and delete but that no longer works. But what you told me to do, using the cursor keys (up an down) and pressing the Delete key worked. Thank you.

Note that you can see a difference between hovering with the mouse and using the cursor key. Hovering shows a different hover color and using the keyboard shows the select color you previously also saw when you hovered. The Delete key only works when you see the select color.
