So some of website are reloading every few second. First i notice that on Yahoo Finance and i though it depends from website, but now it is happening also on eBay websites so it must be something else.

How does it looks? The uploading icon in the tab on the left side, is starting to circle every few second ( every 5 or 10) like is loading page. But page doesn't reload again, I dont see any changes on the site in this process. Maybe is reloading adds or something, And that reload circle is spinning just a second or 2. So- 5s normal-2s spining-5s normal-,...

Anyway i was reading a lot, but I cant find any answer for this. I tried open in safe mode and I tried with disabling hardware acceleration. Doesn't help. And in Chrome I dont have this problem.

I also just updated Firefox and updated graphic card driver from there website (quadro 600). I have windows 10.

Problem is that the browsing is now very slow if i have this multiple tabs open and it is even starts lagging and freezing's for a second.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Several add-ons are known to cause this problem.

Like i said I did already tried safe mode and I already turned off hardware acceleration.

But i did "restart previous season" in safe mode. I shouldn't do that? Then I will lose all my tabs.

Only 2 add-ons that i have are: "Bit-defender wallet" and "strict pop up bloker". Nothing else.

Link of the sites that I think are reloading? For now I only notice yahoo finance and eBay, but eBay started doing this just couple days ago and that is slowing / lagging my internet browsing the most. If I see another page doing that I will post is here.

But Yahoo finance probably loads new news and stock prices every few s so I think that that is actually normal. So probably just eBay is the problem, but i cant find any forum or anything in google that anybody else has this problem.

If everything else fails and those pages keep auto-refreshing, maybe you'd like to give this add-on a try : (WebExtension)

https://addons.mozilla.org/nn-NO/firefox/addon/refresh-blocker/

I checked both links. The Yahoo page loaded more of the web page as I scrolled down. Neither page showed any signs of reloading.

So it is not the website reason for this. But I already suspected that, since it is slowing/lagging my browsing a lot if I only have few eBay tabs open.

And i dont think eBay would let that happen to their users.

Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Safe websites. Is the problem still there?

When I open Firefox in safe mode, can I restart previous season so I dont lose and tabs?

Also i have paid Bitdefender and I scan my PC once a month or 2 months.

It could be a JavaScript problem, in which case you could try the NoScript add-on : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/noscript/

And there is of course the Refresh Blocker I suggested earlier.

What I should have asked you is to check this setting :

3-bar menu (or 'Tools') => Advanced => General tab Under 'Accessibility' : makse sure that 'Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page' is checked.

That add-on actually helped. But if the problem is in JavaScript how can I repair it since I dont have java installed. I would rather to repair this somehow than to hav an add-on.

And since I upgraded Firefox to last version "options" are different and I cant find those settings.

That's great  ! But : which one  ? The Refresh Blocker or NoScript  ?

'Java' is not the same as 'JavaScript' - very confusing, I know  ! In Firefox JavaScript is enabled by default.

And since I upgraded Firefox to last version "options" are different and I cant find those settings.

Firefox 56 comes with a whole new PreferencesUI. If you want to, you can get the 'old' Options back :

Type in the adress bar about:config (press Enter) (promise to be careful, if asked) Type and look for the preference : browser.preferences.useOldOrganization and set its value to true

ENIGMA

It was the NoScript that helped, but if I have this ON a lot of sites dont work in full.

If there is JavaScript already in Firefox, how can I fix that, so that I wont need NoScript anymore?

Thank for the older "option" version, now I found 'Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page' and check it, but I dont think there is any difference becasue of this.
