The recent update added a NEW SEARCH BAR in the Bookmarks Bar. Now every time I open my browser and want to search the web, the cursor is in the bookmark search and not in the browser search. So when I type it automatically search's my bookmarks and not the browser like I wanted it to. How do I remove this NEW SEARCH BAR from the Bookmarks? It is very annoying to have to type a browser search twice after using it the old way for the past 15/20 years.. Please fix this so the cursor defaults to the browser instead of the bookmark search or provide a solution so I can fix it. Thanks

Please provide a screenshot of the NEW SEARCH bar that you are referring to.

See this support article if you aren't familiar with taking a screenshot. How do I create a screenshot of my problem? It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.

Then use the Browse .... button below the Post a Reply text box to upload the screenshot.

I am also experiencing this, I had closed Bookmarks at side inadvertently, which had yellow folders, then went view bookmarks to get it back and now the cursor defaults to that search window above the bookmarks when one launches firefox in a hurry and starts immediately typing, as I and others always do. I am merrily typing out a google search and hit enter, look at screen and nothing has happened, one needs to now click in the google search bar, why create something that assumes we dont want to search on the internet ? Also where are my yellow folders, now they are grey.
