This is odd, yesterday our business email set up through Thunderbird was fine. Today it isn't working. We have deleted our application, reinstalled it, contacted our server hosts, they say nothing is wrong there - nothing is helping.

We have a few different email addresses all attached to the same, single account, we have a shop, it's the direct 'shop' address that isn't working. The others are. I can get emails from the other accounts, but they aren't getting mine. All the sent emails appear in my sent box, nothing is stranded in the out box, it seems as if messages are sent, I didn't know nobody was getting them until someone spoke to me, oblivious of the emails I'd sent. Nothing is provoking error messages... I am not sure how to sort this out. I'm guessing it's a mozilla problem and not a server problem?

Mac is OS X Yosemite version 10.10.5 iMac (20 inch, Early 2009) Processor 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

Any ideas?

All the sent emails appear in my sent box,

That means the messages have been sent. What's happening from this point on is beyond your control. There could be a problem at different places:

  • your email provider's server
  • at the recipients email provider's server
  • at the recipients computer and/or email client

I'd say your best bet is to check with your email provider. They can check their server logs.
