I logged in today and my entire Business Bookmark folder is gone how do I get it back

more options

I don't know how this happens, but literally when I went to my Business bookmark folder today to add more bookmarks to it, I noticed it was entirely gone.

So I went to my laptop, and noticed it was still there, and then within seconds it also disappeared liekly b/c I have sync on.

How the heck does just one folder with multiple subfolders entirely just disappear in your Firefox bookmarks, and how do I get it back?

It is the most important bookmarks folder in my computers.

I tried the restore from backup to yesterday, and it didn't restore the Business bookmark folder.

被選擇的解決方法

Okay, please don't panic.

A common reason for this is if the folder was dragged into another folder. I don't know if that happened in this case, but the easiest way to find out is:

(1) Go to a page you know is bookmarked somewhere in the folder

(2) Click the blue star icon on the toolbar, and then on the row with the folder selector, click the button at the right end with has something like a "v" on it. (See screenshot attached.)

That should display a folder tree and the current location of the bookmarked page should be highlighted, this way you can see where it is in your bookmark hierarchy.

Does that work?

Thank you for trying to help me. No that doesn't work, as every time I click on the blue star, what that does is bookmark the existing page into the "other bookmarks" folder. :(

I dropped down the subfolders this morning to check for that, and it wasn't in any of the other folders. It just disappeared.

Yes! I found it under another folder. I feel so silly. I have no idea how it got there, but THANK YOU for your help! :) Phew! I'm SO relieved!

I'm glad you found it. Plan B was going to be a lot harder. :-)
