Latest update is causing not respodning issues on every search.
With the newest update 17/11/2017 while typing in the address bar or searching, firefox freezes and gives not responding messages.
It eventually followos through but this is not its normal behaviour and as a coder I would view this as a critical failure with a release.
Please fix :)

hi alex, thanks for reporting this. could you go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information, copy the contents of that page and paste them here into a reply on the forum (or if it's to long through a site like https://pastebin.mozilla.org/ and provide the link here)?
this might give us a clue what is going on. thank you!

Shout if you need anything else.
thank you, there are some remnants of a bing addon present in that profile. does it make a difference if you refresh firefox?
No still the same, added a screen shot
one more thing you could do is to capture and share a performance profile while the problem is occurring, like it's described at https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Performance/Reporting_a_Performance_Problem (you can leave out steps 1-3 about installing the latest nightly). maybe that contains more clues what is going wrong.
Here we go
thank you, i couldn't find someone immediately to look at the profile, so i've got a bug for this on file: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1418597
in the meantime maybe a generic bit of advice, please run a scan of your system with multiple different security tools: free version of malwarebytes, adwcleaner & eset online one-time scanner.
Hey its no problem I understand these things take time, we have people trying to inject into our database's at the moment :)
The issue has stopped all of a sudden, not sure if it was multiple restarts. When I am back in the office on Monday I will run all the scans and let you know if anything comes back.
hi again alex, is the problem still occurring? can you chime in at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1418597 - mconley wanted to know in comment 4 if there was any software on your device that might interfere with firefox processes starting up. thanks
Hey, the problem stopped suddenly after a few days, I use trendmicro which is pretty buff and malewarebites.
Can you look at any update history as to when Trend updated ?
Malwarebytes is fine and not a issue.
AlexTR, could you jump in directly into the bug and reply there? in case there'd be some follow-up questions it's quicker to handle it that way? thnx
