- Go to a URL that triggers the "Your connection is not secure" (like http://expired.badssl.com) - click Advanced, then Add Exception - every time you click the Get Certificate button the Add Security Exception window gets bigger -- and it stays that way even after closing/reopening the browser!

I had just installed Firefox minutes earlier. Deleting the single subfolder in Profiles broke Firefox -- it would throw an error saying it couldn't find my profile. Reinstalling Firefox didn't help. I had to delete every Mozilla folder on my hard drive and, for good measure, every Mozilla entry in the registry. Sad to find that Mozilla apps, like many, leave registry entries behind after uninstall.

I reported the original issue in BugZilla. Thanks for your response.

Here's what I get when I click and do exemption before accepting:

expired.badssl.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate expired on Sunday, April 12, 2015, 6:59 PM. The current time is Friday, December 8, 2017, 12:36 PM. Error code: SEC_ERROR_EXPIRED_CERTIFICATE

Notice the Bold and what it says....

Notice the Bold and what it says....

@WestEnd: that is the expected behavior. badssl.com was designed so you can test different scenarios of bad security certificates, etc.

My instructions were to delete two files. Not the whole profile.

I reported the original issue in BugZilla.

Can you tell me the report number or the link to it?

@FredMcD I should've read the instructions more carefully. I apologize.

Here's the link to my BugZilla report: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1424311
