How does one set a keyboard shortcut to toggle the Bookmarks Toolbar?

Monitors are wider than they are tall (in my case, much much wider). While horizontal screen real estate is often disposable and can usually allow a [bookmarks] SIDEBAR to stay open at all times; vertical screen real estate is more scarce and thus needs more optimization and control (by hiding the [bookmarks] TOOLBAR when it's not getting much use and summoning it back at times when it is more useful to have handy).

Contrary to these facts, the sidebar of bookmarks is assigned a keyboard shortcut useful for frequent micromanagement; and the toolbar (that is much more likely to be obstructing part of one's displayed webpage) seems to currently require mousing up into one of the few slices of the main toolbar's UI that doesn't happen to have a customized context menu, right clicking and then clicking appropriately.

Is there a way to assign keyboard shortcuts to things? Most importantly at the moment, is there a way to assign a keyboard shortcut to toggle the toolbars, especially the secondary/"bookmarks" one?

There is no way to assign a keyboard shortcut, but you can use the classic Windows method of operating the menus:

Alt v t b

Alt activates the classic menu bar v drops the View menu t expands the Toolbars sub-menu b selects the Bookmarks menu

It's a toggle, so repeat to hide.

(Alt f v is the essential Print Preview "shortcut", and so on!)
