I have problems with a 6 second delay in typing and appearing in emails. I used disable addons and the problem disappeared for a few minutes then reappeared.

I am using Windows 7. TB 52.7.0. There is a 6 second delay in typing emails to when the text appears. I also have the same delay when I click on a function in TB (eg. Tools \drop down menu, etc.) I disabled all add ons and also tried safe mode. There are no add-ons or extensions in the list in TB (I disabled Lightning and Shockwave Flash). What happens after I disable all addson and use safe mode is that if I Write a new email there is no delay the first time, but then I try it again and there is t he delay again! I do not have any delay in using Firefox or using a Word processing program. Everything is working fine in those programs. So there is an issue in TB and not my computer, keyboard or mouse. Can anyone help me figure out a solution to this problem. Should I use another version of TB to solve the problem. Or is there some magic solution that doesnt require a Computer Science degree that someone knows about? Thanks.

Have you tried going to Tools > Clear recent history? I know that probably won't help at all.

When I've had wierd problems in the past I've used mozbackup to selectively create a new profile and only copy across what I absolutely needed. It fixed my problems and also reduce the size of the profile in the process.
