How to get rid of an autoreply email.

more options

After someone sends me an email they immediately get an autoreply from me that's says only one word "gone". There is no attachment with that, just text, so doesn't appear to be virus related although cant be sure. That of course is not me and Tbird doesn't even seem to have an auto reply feature which I've looked for and always wanted to have. How do I identify why this is happening and stop it?

Most providers have this option. Log into your account at the providers webmail site and check there.

Do you mean it is the e-mail ISP, not Thunderbird? I use Bell internet and e-mail in Canada as my ISP but Tbird as my email client

You already stated that Thunderbird does not have this feature. Well not unless you create a filter. Email provider = the company you get email service and address from.
