I've seen numerous solutions for this, does it just keep changing with each version of Firefox?

What is the definitive solution for disabling search suggestions in the address bar?

For example, when I type "paul", I want to see a bookmark I have that contains the substring "Paul". I do not want to see "paulmccartney". When I type "wee", I want to see a bookmark I have that contains "Weekly" in it. I do not want to see "weedmaps" (whatever the heck that is).

Please help me kill this annoying "feature" once and for all.

Thanks.

被選擇的解決方法

The Search suggestions in Firefox documentation has up-to-date steps on how to stop search suggestions from appearing in the Firefox address bar. This document is updated when something changes in the Firefox settings, so it's a good place to look for the latest instructions.

Hope this helps.

Thank you! I just had to uncheck that one box.

None of the previous solutions for turning off various settings in about:config worked, but this solution worked.
