I have Thunderbird 52.9.1 running in openSuSe. For some reason, my Spam folder on my AOL account has been renamed as Bulk Mail and I can't change or delete it.
My ISP is AOL and I have asked them if the change of the Spam folder name as I see it on my PC, from Spam to Bulk Mail is due to them. They say no, it must be Thunderbird. I am unable to change or delete the folder on my PC. When I look at my account on the AOL website, the folder is correctly called Spam. Is Bulk Mail a valid Thunderbird folder name or should I be worried? Regards, Peter McPherson

It's probably setup (by AOL) as a system folder which you have no control over.
You can change which folder Thunderbird uses for Junk / SPAM in "Junk Settings" under your account settings.
